But your husband is an owner-operator so he is treated like a company, not an employee. But I still agree with the fact that these statistics are going to stay with the driver and affect their career in one way or another.

Well I can tell you that the CSA is assigning rating for drivers themselves. My husband is an owner operator and just got turned down for a job because a frayed brake line caused him to be put OOS till he repaired it. The recruiter plainly told me it was because of that OOS showing on his CSA report. So now tell me again how this isn't suppose to be rating driver's. Hum...

I don't know if I would say it's a "simple fact" that CSA 2010 is a blacklist - that's going a bit far. But I'm curious about your situation, especially the "fatigued driver" points. Did you have any logbook violations that could have applied to this? There had to be some form of ticket issued to give you points for fatigued driving. And you said in reference to lights that don't work on the trailer "The company has refused to repair the light or any of them that don't work". Really? I mean, you told them that you had trailer lights that weren't working properly and they flat-out said "We don't care. We're not fixing it. Get out there and drive".

And if CSA 2010 is a blacklist, then why are you on it? You're implying they're blacklisting you - and my question would be "Why would they do that to you specifically?"

There are also ways you can challenge any information you feel is erroneous on the report. Have you tried challenging any of it?

I am a company driver and have been given my "score card" . With no "preventable" accidents since 1995 , I have a low score !! WHAT ! A couple years ago I got inspected and a fixit ticket for an ABS light on the trailer.
The company has refused to repair the light or any of them that don't work. Last year a ticket for no seat belt and a cracked spring hanger. The cop put on the ticket the reason for the stop was speeding? The truck is goverend at 63 the speed limit 75 in that area. Also CSA points for "fatuiged driving" .NO ticket for speeding or fatigued driving or even a warning was issued. The CSA score card has points assessed for everything . The only "violation" I had any control over was the seat belt and seat belts DO NOT affect the safe operation of any motor vehicle.
The simple fact is CSA 2010 is a gov't sponsored " BLACK LIST" and black lists are illeagle . Not to far down the road We will see our "fitness" tied to things like political affiliation, Union membership, voting records etc.
