After 13 years with one company as a team driver I had to move on. This was a coast to coast run. Some drivers that I was teamed up with couldn't keep it on the road. Rubble strips would take me out of my bunk. One wet the bed (my mattress) another didn't bathe another would stop at the casino's when I was in the bunk and would put us behind. It got where I wasn't able to get the rest that I needed in between shifts. Also, mileage was split even if I had put in most of the mileage. In my 13 years I only had two drivers that were safety conscious, clean, upbeat, and focused on getting our freight to it's designation in the time required.

team driving, double the agony, just to keep that freight moving. one person smokes, the other doesn't, one insists on country music, the other can't stand it, one bathes, one doesn't, couldn't pay me enough, not that they're even willing to pay double. Most want you to split something in between single and double mileage
