Our Goal

We are gathering and presenting the most helpful and useful information for those who are researching trucking companies, trucking schools, and the trucking industry in general. Anyone can submit information, and anyone can vote on the quality of that information, so that the best of the best rises to the top.

We know that there are millions of experienced drivers out there with mountains of useful information about the trucking companies that they have worked for, the schools that they have attended, and the trucking industry in general. You may be one of those drivers. We want to learn from your experiences.

How Will This Work?

Anyone can contribute stories, comments, and information about any trucking company or trucking school out there – and anyone can vote on those contributions. The information that people find the most helpful and useful will get “voted up” to the top, and the garbage will get voted down and buried. Over time, the best information out there will become immediately available – you won’t have to spend hours hoping to find that needle in a haystack.

A Little History

BigRigDriving was started by Brett Aquila (that’s me!), the founder of TruckingTruth.

I started TruckingTruth because there was very little useful information on the Web that could help people who were new to trucking, or were considering becoming truck drivers, understand the trucking industry. My goal was to give honest, helpful information from a variety of sources that would help people decide if trucking was right for them and if so, what steps they should take to get their new career started.

We remained neutral when it came to trucking companies and trucking schools – we didn’t promote or demote anyone. We simply explained how the industry works, what your options are for schooling, how to choose the right school for you, and explained what to look for in a trucking company. The site is a tremendous success and will continue to grow and prosper for many, many years to come.

But people were dying for more specific information about each of the different trucking schools and trucking companies that were out there. TruckingTruth has never done that and never will – and there are good reasons for that. But the problem is, nobody else is doing it well either. So here we go – BigRigDriving.
