I've been told that Prime is beginning to change over to flat-top, single-bunk, ultra-light trucks to save weight and money. It seems they're considering making solo drivers either lease or squeeze into these little trucks.
I'm also told they have no passenger seat so you can store your cooler and other heavy items on the floor next to you so that if the truck rolls you get beat to death by your own belongings.
I've been beaten with my own belongings, but usually it's because they're in the hands of someone else, not dropping from the sky. Oh, except that one time when a piece of plywood I had propped up against the wall fell over and bonked me on the head
